But you should always remember to ask mama first! Think back and remember all the rooms I've wallpapered (also grandpa's hardware store opened originally as a paint & wallpaper store, so I know a bit!). It's difficult to butt up edges of contact paper (once stuck, it's done) nor can it be done with certain types of wallpaper like grasscloth that do not have perfect edges. In these situations what you do after the paper is hung is get a straight edge and an exacto knife. Line it up and make a single slice through.
