Wedding Style Guide: Beach Wedding

As I mentioned here, I've started a wedding season series and today we are talking about beach weddings.  Whether it's a destination wedding in Tahiti, or a SoCal fete, I've got you covered with a few looks to inspire.

Living in California, beach weddings are popular so trust me, you do not want to be that guest teetering on high-heels in the sand.  You will look ridiculous.  The best approach to looking beachy beautiful?  Look for easy to wear fabrics, earthy accessories, and anything that would look good floating in the breeze.

California Chic:

This look is so easy to wear, and the minty green will highlight tanned legs and arms.  The open keyhole in the front (or back) makes this simple dress a little flirty, and the lightweight silk will help keep you cool on a warm day.  The thing about coastal weddings?  The nights cool off, so bring a wrap!  Nude sandals will elongate your legs, even if they are flat!  The bonus here?  This dress is reversible, so you get double the wear!

What could be more chic than a floral maxi dress?  The length of this little number ensures you feel dressed for the occasion, but the lightweight fabric and sleeveless cut will keep you cool for those balmy nuptials in a tropical locale.  Gold accessories and a woven tote summon a warm weather vibe, and bright coral toes will compliment your Tahitian tan.

Flamenco Inspired Fashion:

For the fashion forward, go for bright pops of color and trendy cuts.  With the drapey fabric, and the feminine flutter wrap on the skirt, this dress will carry you from the beach to the dance floor in seconds.  Chunky statement jewelry make the look memorable, and bold blue accessories spice things up.
